University of Michigan NCAA Men’s Hockey Analytics

As an analytics intern for the Big10 Championship and Frozen Four Finalists team in 2022 and 2023, I utilized SportLogiq to manage extensive data sets and produce weekly faceoff reports. These reports assessed players based on stick strength, performance in offensive and defensive zones, and past matchups with opponents, and were provided to the Head and Assistant Coach in a simplistic data visualization.

Before this internship, my knowledge of hockey strategy and rules was limited, but my passion for sports analytics fueled my determination to learn. I immersed myself in the world of hockey by reading rule books, watching countless hours of game film, and observing practices. My ability to quickly grasp new concepts allowed me to adapt this knowledge to meet the coaching staff's data needs effectively. Through relentless effort and dedication, I contributed to the program's success and played a part in the team's triumph.

MProduct Michigan’s Premier Product Management Club

MProduct is a University of Michigan community for students passionate about building great products and learning about product management. As an enthusiastic member, I actively participated in this exceptional club for two years, immersing myself in the world of building exceptional products and gaining invaluable insights. Through my unwavering commitment and dedication, I progressively ascended to a coveted leadership role during my final year of school, leaving an indelible mark on this dynamic organization.

As vice president, I led recruiting efforts and assisted in onboarding new cohorts, to grow the reach and capabilities of MProduct, creating a collaborative, resource-driven community for students to explore interests in Product Management and Entrepreneurship. I created a retention program to retain key members and to encourage active participation in the club’s activities by checking in on members, instituting a mentoring system, and increasing professional opportunities.

I also had the opportunity to be a part of the MConnect team, where I cold-outreached to Product Managers and developed marketing materials to source speakers for our yearly conference, resulting in multiple keynote presentations and in-depth information for the exploration of Product Management. This event was a huge success and we had over 150 students in attendance.

HP Inc. Work

I worked on a lot of different projects during my seven-month internship at HP Inc. My work was focused on three products: HP Engage Go 10” Mobile System, HP Engage Flex Mini, and HP Engage One Essential. I worked on creating marketing collateral, datasheets, and media briefs for each product found on the specific product page.

Early Evaluators Program

I oversaw the early evaluators program for three platforms and shipped these products to over 200+ customers, including brands such as Chick-Fil-A, Nordstroms, and Mayo Clinic. EEP helps promote the products to customers before launch and helps drive interest in our products. I was in charge of communications between customers, prioritized customers on the ship list, created evaluator guides to give more information per product, and created surveys to provide feedback.

Sustainability Analysis

Within the retail business unit, I worked closely with sustainability experts. I made a sustainability dashboard via Power BI to see if retail was on track to meet our recycled plastic goals. I led a sustainability prediction analysis on our recycled plastic goals for the next ten years. I presented this analysis at an executive level to inform whether we are on track or not on track for our sustainability goals. One of my most significant lasting impacts from this project is that my findings and analysis template are used in other business units to evaluate their sustainability goals.

Business Use Cases

I created vertical use case-specific customer slides for our sales team to present to customers. I made vertical use case slides for retail, hospitality, and healthcare. Although hospitality and retail are critical, our team recently saw a huge opportunity to move into banking and healthcare, so I collaborated with experts on the business development team to sell and promote our product to those specific customers.

App Interface

Summer 2020 I worked as an intern at a start-up tech company, episode 8, Inc., with the marketing team that was creating a new podcast app. As a member of the team, I presented research findings and recommended solutions to proposed challenges. With my team, I also had the opportunity to give feedback and help design some of the interfaces of the app. Based on consulting with my team, we ideated solutions for different problems the user was having with the app. This is one of the interfaces in specific that I helped design.
